ESTATE-GROWN BLUE AGAVE
Don Pilar grows his agave on five private ranches in the Highlands of Jalisco near the town of San José de Gracia.
AN UNAGED, PURE SPIRIT
A blanco tequila is unaged and clear—the distilled essence of the agave plant.
The Jamaica Margarita
Cocktail Specialist, Manuel Castillo has created this wonderful margarita featuring Tequila Don Pilar Blanco infused with Hibiscus flower.
1 oz Don Pilar Blanco tequila
1 oz Hibiscus Infused Tequila (see recipe below)
¾ oz Lime Juice
½ oz Agave Nectar
2 dashes Chocolate Bitters
2 dashes Orange Bitters
Ground black volcanic salt
THE MOZART METHOD OF FERMENTATION
Our master distillers insist on serenading the agave must with Baroque music during the 200 hours of fermentation to coax the conversion from sugar-to-alcohol.
AROMATIC PROFILE & CLEAN FINISH
Don Pilar’s Blanco has a wonderfully fragrant profile and a refreshingly clean finish.
A clean, crystalline liquid.
The nose offers fresh notes of lime, pineapple and baked agave.
The palate is crisp and lightly sweet, rounding out smoothly.
It finishes cleanly with a refreshing citrus zest.
The Blanco, being a "young" tequila, fittingly features a portrait of Don Pilar as a young man—full of vigor, hope and energy.
EL CORRIDO DEL BLANCO
The Blanco giftbox is embazoned with a ballad that is dedicated to Don Pilar’s youth and adventures as a Bracero migrant worker. Watch Los Meños sing a corrido in honor of Don Pilar’s Blanco.
